The Alpha Gams at OU participate in Big Event, Scandals, University Sing, Homecoming and other campus-wide activities. Several Upsilon members are involved in planning and directing Campus Activities Council events, and we enjoy going to all the OU athletic events to support the Sooners. We have themed date parties like last year’s Las Vegas themed party "Lucky Number Seven," sisterhood events like the Halloween
pumpkin carving, and events with other university clubs and fraternities, like the recent BYX Barbeque and softball with Delta Chi.
The women of Alpha Gamma Delta are extremely involved on campus, participating in anything from Campus Activities Council to multiple honors societies. Alpha Gams are a part of nearly seventy clubs on campus and many hold executive positions within their respective organizations. During the 2006-2007 academic year, Alpha Gamma Delta was proud to win the Intramurals All Sports trophy. All members strive to promote Alpha Gamma Delta, in the classroom, on campus, and in the community. Alpha Gams put forth hundreds of hours towards community service every semester, especially with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and Tuesday Tutors. By being this involved, all members are proud of what their sisters can contribute to the world around them.

Academics
The women of Alpha Gamma Delta are committed to academic success. Every semester we “Strive for Pi” to maintain an chapter GPA of at least 3.14, which is above the University of Oklahoma women's average and competitive among the other Panhellenic sororities on our campus. Being an involved student during class and completing study hall hours are just a few ways that Alpha Gams maintain and improve our GPA, both as a group and as individuals.

Philanthropy
The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation is the philanthropy we support. The Foundation supports diabetes research and funding, as well as several other programs that benefit other Alpha Gamma Delta Chapters, including Sisters in Need and The Leadership Institute. Alpha Gamma Delta was the first
Panhellenic Fraternity to adopt a philanthropic cause.
Each April, our chapter hosts a Barbeque, which acts as Alpha Gamma Delta's major fundraising project for the spring semester. All proceeds from our Barbeque benefit the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. The Barbeque is held at the Alpha Gamma Delta house, and is open to all members of the Norman community. In past years, we’ve entertained over 500 guests at our Barbeque and raised over $2,000 for our Foundation. In doing so, our chapter has been consistently recognized internationally as a Jewel chapter.
Each of our members are also encouraged to give of themselves to the Norman community. Alpha Gamma Delta members have participated in events such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research and Funding Walk, Dance Marathon, Relay for Life, and Big Event. Members are also encouraged to attend several other philanthropic events hosted by other Greek chapters on OU’s campus. Our members volunteer their time with various organizations in Norman, such as Number Nyne Crisis Line, Second Chance Animal Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Women’s Out-Reach Center, and many others.
